(CEM), the owner and operator of an air ambulance service and part of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Health System. An established Aviation-specific communication centre is located within the UPMC hospital complex, where emergency physicians have been providing aviation emergency consultation and assistance for over 20 years.
CEM is among the world’s leaders in Emergency Medicine care, education, and research. CEM has been responsible for shaping the future of emergency medical services (EMS) education in the United States and is one of the most prolific sites of emergency medicine research in the world. CEM’s physicians and educators are routinely sought worldwide for their expertise. the physicians who provide the medical consultation services within the UPMC facility, are ABMS Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and are all attending physicians holding faculty positions at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
